Hussein Chalayan: Archipelago is the first complete Chinese-language collection of works by fashion designer Hussein Chalayan. It includes his fashion collections, videos, and drawings from 1994 to 2020—works that demonstrate how history and tradition might collide with new technologies, currents of thought, and social formations. Chalayan says, “I want to create a sense of life for clothes.” This sense of life in clothing is also a symbol of an era filled with dynamic change, infinite migration, and identity rewriting.
